The ITS Volda Conference 2020 is cancelled!

Due to the Corona virus (Covid-19) pandemic, and the strict measures taken to prevent further spread of the disease, we unfortunately have to cancel the 2020 conference.

ITS Volda 2020

Dates:   April 20-22, 2020
Theme: Active classrooms and outdoor teaching.

The ITS Volda conference will bring together teacher education students and staff from several European countries to share ideas and perspectives on physical activity and outdoor teaching.

Through practical excercises, workshops and lectures, the programme will include both hands-on experience, as well as, insights into the pedagogical theories and current research on the topic. Through international and Norwegian speakers and participants, we will gain a comparative outlook on physical activity as a pedagogical tool and in terms of public health. 

In the spirit of the conference theme, parts of the programme will take place outdoor and require active involvement from the participants. It is therefore important to be prepared for outdoor activities and to bring suitable clothing. More information will be provided for registered participants.

In addition to the academic programme, there will be plenty of opportunities to socialize with students and staff from other teacher training institutions and a variety of social events in the evening. The student house Rokken will be the centre for the social activities.

Student participants will receive a diploma documenting their participation in the conference.
