Humanist chaplain
Volda University College has the first humanist chaplain (studenthumanist) in the country, but what is a humanist chaplain?
The humanist chaplain is someone you can go to if you experience something in life that you find difficult, and you need someone to spar with, to talk to, or simply a person to think together with. The chaplain aims to provide spaces for the students where you can explore ethical and existential challenges imminent in student life.
Lone is employed by The Norwegian Humanist Association as a humanistic counsellor. The door is open for all students regardless of faith or beliefs. Everything, of course, in full confidentiality.
The offer is a supplement to the existing counseling offer at Volda University College and Studentsamskipnaden in Volda. You will find her at the Berte Kanutte house, between the premises of the student parliament and the library. Get in touch to make an agreement about individual conversations that are made in a conversation room.
