Praktisk organisering og arbeidsmåtar

The course is organised as practical exercises by drawing a life model and theoretical part. Approach to each student is individual due to different skill levels and the ability/speed at which they are progressing. Theoretical part will be focused on anatomy drawing in perspective and foreshortening, and in lightning and shadowing. Mentor will guide students through individual problem solving tasks by explaining those topics in the practical part of
classes. Each new task has a different situation and problems where students need to show logistic and problem solving abilities. Theoretical part will also point out different figure drawing roles in specific historical moments and animation. This opens the students for creative thinking and being aware of different possibilities of solving the same task. The practical part of lectures is a direct continuation of the practice of the last phase of the drawing course. It is based on the independent work and analysis of the basic elements of art education form linear construction, linear drawing to tonal drawing. Students will show as drawing development range from flat two-dimensional, simple three-dimensional square shapes to complex divorced forms. Lectures will be held on Norwegian and English for foreign students in a form of a block hour of 45-minute x 2, 2 times per week through the whole semester.
