FLM102 Introduction to Film History
None.
This course offers an introduction to film history. By watching various films from the history of cinema, we will discuss some important works, initiatives and forms that are still influential in the context of art and culture. As film will be regarded as a representational and formative medium, and as an art form, questions of aesthetics and ‘the language of cinema’ will be given emphasis. However, matters of social realities and ethical problems will also be addressed.
