Apply and join the buddy week board

Now you have the chance to take part in creating a completely magical buddy week in 2023. Apply for one of the six positions in the budy week board by 27th of January.

Not only do you get to help create a buddy week that will be a lot of fun, but also important work experience that can be very useful to have on your CV. The offices is also remunerated with money, more on that further down in the article.

– Here you will be responsible for one of the largest events in Volda. Making buddy week is both fun and social - you become a good group working towards a fun goal in August. This is work that will please many hundreds of new students, in addition to having great intrinsic value for the buddy week board and the buddies. And it is only nice having important work experience included in the purchase, says Trond Fredrik Hagemann Hoddevik, leader of the Student Parliament, which helps to appoint the buddy week board.

Recruitment and search

The buddy week board consists of six posts:

Leader – leads and coordinates the work, and maintains the dialogue with the Student Parliament, the University and Samskipnaden
Deputy leader - relieves the leader and the rest of the board, is the board's multitasker
Event manager - main responsibility for the programme
Responsible for buddies - main responsibility for all the budiies and buddy groups
Responsible for sponsors and finances - secures agreements with sponsors and has primary responsibility for purchasing and finances
PR and multimedia manager - mainly responsible for promotion and graphic design

All students who will be studying at Volda University College in autumn 2023 are welcome to apply for all the various positions.

Fees

Positions in the buddy week board are remunerated with NOK 10,000 for the leader and NOK 5,000 for the other positions in the board. The fee is paid as a lump sum after the submitted evaluation report in October.

And even if you get paid a little and have a lot of responsibility as part of the board, it's not like they don't get support from others.

– The board will receive good support from the university, the student parliament and the welfare group. We will be helping to make sure that it will be a great godfather's week - the board will not stand alone, promises Hoddevik.
