Condemns the Russian warfare
Rector Johann Roppen of Volda University College says Volda University College is supporting the people of Ukraine and is strongly opposed to the Russian inflicted war upon Ukraine. He has written about this in his blog, and the text is also available in Ukrainian.
There are few employees and students from Ukraine at Volda University College as we don’t have any partner universities in Ukraine.
All students are encouraged to get in contact with their teachers or our student support services if they have difficulties or are in need to talk. Read more about the offer here.
We also have employees and students from Russia and other countries who are more close to the region of conflict, and rector Roppen says that it’s important to treat all students equally and that our condemnation of the war is directed towards Mr. Putins regime, and not the Russian people.
Universities Norway (UHR), the cooperative body for 33 accredited universities and university colleges ,have also condemned the Russian war in Ukraine. Their statement can be read here.
