Less emissions for VUC

The climate and enviroment report for 2019 shows less emissions due to travels, and positive effect from recycling. 

Being certified Eco-lighthouse, Volda University College delivers a yearly report documenting environmental work and results. The climate year in numbers shows a positive developent on the different areas VUC has decided to focus on. 

  • Suppliers with environmental management systems as increased to 17 in 2019
  • Energy spent per square meter is reduced with 16 percent compared to 2018
  • CO2 emissions are down 54 percent
  • Total use of fuel are down 13 percent
  • The amount of waste being recycled has increased

In 2020 VUC will work on better information material on recycling, adding more recycling stations and make it easier for people to use environmental friendly transport, for example build a roof over the bicycle parking.
