– A brilliant student welfare measure

The gear lending central BUA is an ideal organisation who provides children and youth opportunities to engage in more and more varied outdoor activities. This autumn, BUA Volda was ranged fourth at lending top by mid-sized national communal districts.

– This is a brilliant student welfare measure, says Astrid Gjesdal, leader for Volda Volunteer Center and BUA Volda. She points out the international students at VUC's discovery of BUA for the success and good score.

At BUA you can borrow a lot of gear for outdoor activities for free. You'll find complete ski equipment, warm and windproof clothing, ice blades, bicycles, sleeping bags, frisbees, kayaks (needs license) and a lot of other stuff.

– In addition, it's a good environmental measure. It's sustainable that you don't need to own and store everything, and there is also the public health aspect, says Gjersdal.

She also says that its including by the way everyone is allowed to participate. – Everyone who wants to try something new can do this without buying new expensive equipment, she says.
