The R&D award 2022: - The award winner has boosted research at the department

The National Research Week 2022 at Volda University College opened on Friday with the presentation of the R&D 22' award to Helga Synnevåg Løvoll.

During the National Research Week (Forskingsdagane) 23 September - 1 October 2022, you can, among other things, take part in the Life in the Sea event at the Runde Environment Center, a photo lecture about Shetland explorers in Fosnavåg, a film screening at the Hjørundfjord Film Theater in Sæbø and a book launch and guided tour at Bjørkedalen.

There are key words for just some of the more than 20 events during the Forskingsdagane at Volda University College (HVO) this year. The official opening of the Forskingsdagane took place on Friday 23 September in the library with the presentation of the R&D award at HVO for 2022 to Professor Helga Synnevåg Løvoll.

Important in the development of research

The aim of the R&D award is to draw attention to R&D work by highlighting and honoring outstanding efforts.

In the award, the University Board emphasized, among other things, that Helga Synnevåg Løvoll has been appointed to the Department of Cultural Studies for many years and has, through these years, contributed to the development of this department within the R&D area. Løvoll completed his PhD in 2016 at the University of Bergen, and in recent years in particular has had a good development within his research activities. Løvoll was promoted to professor in March 2022. 

Løvoll has taken on doctoral supervision for doctoral scholars at the Department of Cultural Studies, she has contributed to the writing of applications for other scholars at the Department of Cultural Studies, and she is in charge of the research component of the university's Development Agreement with the Ministry of Education.
