Now students and staff at Volda University College can nominate one or more lecturers who they think deserve to win an award for quality in education in 2022.

Perhaps you have thought about the fact that this and that lecturer is so good and puts in such an effort that makes the teaching and education extra good? These are the kind of candidates you are looking for when you are going to award a prize for quality in education.

- You can nominate an individual or a group of lecturers at the University - it is optional. A group can, for example, be everyone who teaches a bachelor's degree or similar, says Odd Helge Mjellem Tonheim, vice-rector at Volda University College.

Want the students to have their say

The vice-rector is clear that the prize should hang high and that it is important for the university. Ultimately, it is the students who will benefit from it.

- As the award focuses on quality in the education, it is part of our quality system to ensure that we offer good education.

- Nominations from students will help to show what they appreciated about their education. It is important that the students say what they think is good quality, Tonheim thinks.

The price is NOK 30,000 for an individual and NOK 50,000 for a professional environment. The award must be used for measures that promote further work and development with regard to quality in education, for example study trips, conferences, environmental and network building or equipment for educational work.

Here you can nominate the candidate you want!

The statutes for the award can be found here

The deadline to nominate is 20 October.
