Artists! Apply for residence at Seanse Art Center
Seanse Art Centre is the only center in the country that offers residence within all art genres and all stages of development. Both individual artists and groups are welcome to apply.
The theme, approaches (methods) and content of the artistic expressions can be different with different forms of participation, be it performances, workshops or otherwise.
In addition to assessing all applications, we have in 2023 a special call for ARTISTS IN EXILE to apply for residency! Good narratives and artistic expressions can contribute constructively in areas of conflict and war. Seanse will support artists who want to contribute in various ways through their work.

The residence are arranged in June and October. In total of 20 to 25 art projects will be granted residence in 2023.
Seanse offers:
• Good working conditions in own premises
• Supervision of mentors with artistic and pediatric expertise
• Participation in an interdisciplinary artist college

Since 2004, over 794 artists, national and international involved in 370 productions have been on artist residencies. Seance’s goal is to contribute to quality productions, competence development and innovation in art for and with children, young people and others.
Seanse Art Center is a national development arena for art production in all genres. In addition to residency programs, they organize artist meetings, art workshops, conferences, webinars and a Small Arts Festival every 3 years (children 0-6 years). Seanse has many collaboration partners, and has initiated the international ITAC Conferences and Collaborative network.
Seanse is supported by Møre and Romsdal County Municipality, the Directorate of Culture, the Ministry of Education and the University of Volda.
