ERASMUS practice student from Hradec Kralove University - Czech Republic
From the autumn 2011, alongside our Spanish trainee in Pangaia, Dunia Soriano Celma, the International office at Volda University College is happy to have the Czech student, Petr Stepanek, on Erasmus placement. As we do with all our international students, we asked Petr to write down his first impressions of Volda.
Petr Stepanek, From Czech Republic, enjoys the scenery in Ålesund
- The reason I chose Volda was that I had always wanted to go to Norway. My previous trips to Scandinavia made a very good impression on me so I decided to come back. I got the the opportunity to work in Volda just accidentally. In my university I saw an advert from Iulia and Cecilia from Volda University College saying that they had one vacancy for Erasmus trainees in their International Office. I did not hesitate and applied for the job. To my surprise, it was me who got the response and I am very grateful to both of them for this.
After having been here for three weeks, there is nothing I can complain about. Volda is a town surrounded by gorgeous scenery with kind and obliging people. As a member of Pangaia I have had the opportunity to meet people from all around the world, which is wonderful and unforgettable experience for me. In my opinion, we all make a good team and I hope to be the right hand in every occasion.
