Pangaia
The international meeting point Pangaia was opened on February 13th 2006 and was a success from the start. Pangaia, meaning "one world", is a social meeting point on the ground floor of Berte Kanutte building, a place where you can drop in to relax, make new friends and meet the student trainees working for the International Office. In Pangaia you will also find different brochures, books, games to play, etc.
If you have any ideas about how to improve Pangaia, do not hesitate to contact the International Office.
Events and Social Activities
Pangaia arranges cultural events, movie nights, Christmas and Easter workshops, dance shows, mountain trips etc. Many of the events are held at the student house Rokken.
The International Office at Volda University College, in cooperation with Pangaia and students from the Student Parliament, will each semester arrange various activities for international and local students.
At the beginning of each semester there will be a welcome dinner for the international students. At Christmas we will make a Christmas party, with Norwegian food for all international students. We will also arrange day trips and excursions. All activities are free of charge.
