Teacher student Dana playing in the European Championship!

In 2022, Dana Björg Gudmundsdottir (22) got an offer she couldn't refuse: playing handball at the top level in combination with teacher education in Volda. This semester she is combining her studies with taking part in the European Women's Handball Championship.

Preventing dropout in vocational education

The dropout rate in secondary education is greatest among vocational students. A Norwegian-Italian collaboration aims to reduce dropout rates in vocational education.

Student placement at sea

Students in VUC's Outdoor Life and Sports programme were offered the unique experience of a placement period on board one of Norway's most famous sailing ships, the Christian Radich. The students learned how to sail while providing support for youths taking part in the voyage.
