Web analytics
We collect information about visitors to hivolda.no. The purpose of this is to compile statistics that we use to improve and further develop the information offerings on our website. Examples of what the statistics provide answers to include; how many people visit different pages, how long the visit lasts, which websites the users come from, and which browsers are used.
We use Google Analytics and Tag Manager on our website to collect the statistics.
We also use the tool HotJar, which is used to create a picture of usage patterns, heatmaps, and form analysis.
We also use the tool SiteImprove to measure traffic on our websites. The cookies for SiteImprove do not contain any personal information and are only used for statistics on the use of the site, and this information will never be transferred to third parties.
We also respect the “Do Not Track” settings in the user’s browser (applies to the headers X-Do-Not-Track and DNT). The Do Not Track function is included in most new browsers. It can alternatively be added by the user themselves.
Volda University College uses Facebook pages to communicate with external target groups and to have access to Facebook’s advertising platform. Facebook collects personal information from everyone who visits HVO’s Facebook pages, both those who are logged in with a Facebook profile and those who visit the pages without being logged in. Facebook does this by installing cookies in your browser.
Facebook provides Volda University College with access to visitor statistics from our Facebook pages so that we can analyze how our content (posts, videos, articles, etc.) is viewed and used. We can also set up ads based on user profiles that have visited our pages.
Volda University College does not forward or sell personal data we access through Facebook.
