Together with Assistant Professor and leader of the media tour, Amina Loukili, the students visited TV channels NRK and TV2, as well as the major Norwegian newspapers Aftenposten, Dagbladet and VG.

This is the second time that the Faculty of Media and Journalism has sponsored a media study tour intended for international students.

- We want as many of our international students as possible to experience the operation of Norwegian media outlets and their role in the Norwegian democracy, Loukili said. She added that many do not have any idea about the Norwegian media landscape, and a trip like this at least gives them exposure to media function in Norway.

Furthermore, most of the media tours have given the students great insights into Norwegian media institutions.

- Most international students have little understanding of the active role of media in Norwegian society, Amina Loukili said, and continued:

- It has been a great opportunity to see how Norwegian media are shaping the political life in Norway.

The students were also given the chance to mingle with professionals and journalists, which gave them a chance to explore career opportunities.

In addition to the media visits, the students were able to take in the sights and sounds of Oslo, which they found absolutely fantastic.
