Abass, Stephen Msarai(27), Siya (27) from Tanzania and Carolina(22) from Kenya are all participating tomorrow on the International Day. They feel proud to do so because people will get to know their country and see and taste some of their culture.

They kenyan students will prepare mandazi, a special dish from Kenya that they usually eat for breakfast. The Tanzanian students will prepare chapati, originally from India, a kind of taco with meat. They will also make sambusa which is a kind of chinese dumpling. So even the food is really international seing that it originates from different places all over the world.

-We will also dance tomorrow, some traditional kenyan dances, Carolina says enthusiasticly.

Stephen tells us that he is really looking forward to the International Day because it will show the diversity among the volda students.

-I also feel that making this international day also represent a oneness among the students, because we all come together and do this together, Carolina says and Siya agrees – it makes us feel at home.
