Two students on the Erasmus programme have created a new music video for a local Norwegian musician. – These projects are invaluable for students, says lecturer Dave King.

Thea Floer Kulsengs new music video was made by students at Volda University College. Kulsengs song, Aurora, is her first single after winning the Norwegian version of Eurovision for children in 2015.

What is Pangaia? That depends on who you are asking. For many NIS-students, Pangaia is the place where you always go after you’re done at school, or when you have a break. 

Being active and outdoors has always been a passion and a way of life for Danish Anders Vestergård. But in Volda he discovered a new love. Luckily, his new love fitted perfect with his long-time passion.

In the fall of 2017, Volda University College has more students attending than ever before. The new record is 4,184 students, and that is about 9 percent more students than in 2016.

A new book, «Fish, Coast and Communities - A History of Norway» offers an in-depth exploration of how the people of Norway have relied on the sea for thousands of years to put food on the table, to build prosperity and to shape their communities. Professor Atle Døssland of Volda University College is one of the co-writers of this publication.

Tuesday August 15 saw the opening of the 2017/2018 academic year at VUC. During the official opening ceremony, both Rector Johann Roppen and guest speaker and Mayor of Vanylven Municipality, Lena Landsverk Sande, noted the importance of cooperation for the future development of society.
