    Volda University College is now proud to announce that the application for starting up a new English-medium Master’s programme in Media Practice as been approved. This means that VUC from the autumn of 2017 will start up a MA programme that is unique in Norway.

  • International Day inspires students to study abroad

    Anne Nordengen, a BA Social Work student at VUC, did her traineeship abroad last semester and was one of many presenting her experience abroad at the International Day 2017 at VUC. Anne and fellow students at VUC, together with more than 20 international guests, represented countries and partner universities at the fair to inspire new students to do a semester abroad.

  • NEW TEACHER EDUCATION AT VUC ACCREDITED

    NOKUT (the Norwegian Agency for Quality Assurance in Education) has this autumn reviewed the plans for the new Teacher Education Programmes grades 1-7 and grades 5-10 at Volda University College, and concludes with accreditation of both programmes. “This confirms the high quality of our teacher education, and recognizes its long traditions” Rector Johann Roppen says.

  • PLAYWRIGHT, PROFESSOR JESPER HALLE TO LECTURE AT VUC

    – We are very pleased to announce that the price winning playwright and founder of the Master’s degree program in Stage Writing at the Oslo National Academy of the Arts (KHiO), Jesper Halle, will be one of the guest lecturers in the course Adaptation and script writing, says Head of Theatre Department Vibeke Preus Bech.

  • Power Bank caught fire - do not use the charger

    On Monday September 5., powerbanks were distributed to students at Volda University College in the Berte Kanutte-building by an external company. On Tuesday morning, it looks like one of these chargers caught fire during charging.
