My account

Students and employees automatically receive a user account at HVO when registered with us. Each individual must activate their user account.

After you have activated your account at konto.hivolda.no, you can also change your password and order an access card. This is also where you upload a photo to the Student ID app.

Activate user account
  • Go to konto.hivolda.no, click on Activate account, and log in with ID-porten.
  • If you do not have a Norwegian national identity number, you will instead receive an activation link to your private email.
  • During the activation process, you must approve the IT regulations and privacy statement.
  • Set a password that meets the requirements.
  • Wait about an hour for our systems to have time to do their job.
  • Set up two-factor authentication: https://www.hivolda.no/IT-Tenester/tofaktor-autentisering.
  • Finally, you will receive an email with your username and email address at HVO.

Forgotten password

Did you forget your password? Or do you just need to change it?

  • Go to konto.hivolda.no, click on Forgot password, and then Log in using ID-porten. Follow the instructions.
  • If you do not have a Norwegian national identity number, you must instead click on Cannot use ID-porten. Fill in your email address, either the private one you used when you activated your account or the HVO email. When you click on Send email, you will receive an email with instructions.
Order access card for students and change PIN

Student access cards can be ordered from the day you activate your user account at Volda University College (VUC), typically at the start of your studies.

You order the card at konto.hivolda.no. Click on My account and log in with Feide. Note that you must activate your HVO account first.

When you order a new card, an order will be placed with Eigedom, and they will produce the cards accordingly. Your card can be picked up at Studentsørvis in Berte Kanutte-huset after you have ordered. Note that it can take up to two days to produce it, but we do our best to have it ready earlier.

All VUC students have basic access to the card, i.e. all the large houses and common areas 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. Those studying a subject where teaching takes place in special rooms have access to these.

Your card is valid as long as you are a student at VUC. Contact Student Services for lost or damaged access cards.

Change PIN code

  1. Go to https://konto.hivolda.no and select My account.
  2. Log in with Feide, and select Create or change PIN code.
  3. Enter the code and click Save PIN.
Upload photo to the Student ID mobile app

Go to My account at konto.hivolda.no to upload a photo that will be used in the Student ID mobile app.

Click on Upload or change image and follow the instructions.

  • The photo should be in portrait orientation
  • - show the entire head, and the head should fill most of the photo
  • - be taken directly from the front, against a light background.

The photo is transferred to the student administrative system FS and Fagpersonweb. Case handlers in the Study Administration and certain administrative employees in the departments have access to FS. Subject specialists have access via Fagpersonweb to view photos and contact information of students who are registered for their own courses.

Access for employees

Eigedom manages entrance cards for employees. There are two alternative keys: employee cards or a mobile app. Employees can contact Eigedom in case of lost keys or new keys.
