Search with «plug-in» for Web Browser to find Open Access Versions of Journal Articles

It is possible to use a «plug-in» for your web browser to help you find open access versions of journal articles. Search as you normally would, for example in Google Scholar, and use«plug-ins» for your web browser that show you where you can find open versions of an article (these tools have to be downloaded and installed into your web browser). 

We recommend the following plug-ins:

Unpaywall (for Chrome og Firefox): Plug-in that locates open versions of articles you search for, if available.

Open Access Button (for Chrome, Firefox og Safari): Plug-in for finding open versions of articles as well as sending requests to the article’s authors to make locked articles available as open access.

Google Scholar Button (for Chrome og Firefox): Plug-in that makes it easier to use Google Scholar to find full text articles.
