Pre-EAIE 2025 Partner Days
Volda University College has the pleasure to invite guests to our Pre-EAIE Partner Days September 3-5, leading up to the EAIE Conference in Gothenburg. The partner days are well-suited for both academic and administrative staff as each participant will receive a tailor-made programme.

Arrival service and travel
VUC will provide arrival service for the international guests, meaning that we will pick you up at the local airport (Orsta/Volda Hovden) or at the local bus station (Volda Rutebilstasjon) if you fly to Ålesund or travel to Volda by bus. Read more on the many ways to travel to Volda.
Participants should check with the International Office at their home institution if it is possible to receive an Erasmus+ Staff Training grant for attending the event.
Accommodation
International participant may choose among various accommodation options. We recommend staying at the short term rent apartments through SiVolda (Student Housing). The SiVolda apartments hold a high standard, are located 5 minutes from the VUC campus and is the most affordable option. Other alternatives are Airbnb apartments (make sure it is within easy walking distance of the VUC campus), the Fruenes Bed & Breaksfast and the Volda Tourist Hotel.
We do not recommend booking a hotel outside Volda (for example in Orsta, Ulsteinvik etc) as it is quite impractical to rely on public transport every time you will want to go to/from the VUC campus.
Programme
Each guest will be given a personal programme to fit the interests and academic area for each guest. The programme could involve meetings with VUC staff and faculty, observing lectures, presenting their institutions to VUC students and staff, sight visits in Volda, excursions, following up on students on exchange in Volda etc.
