Digital Reading Lists in Leganto
Volda University College uses the digital reading list system Leganto. The reading lists in Leganto are connected to our library system Oria, enabling students to see available copies of reading list books at the library and get direct access to electronic resources. The reading lists are published on the Volda University College website, where they are freely accessible to all after being published by the library. In Canvas, reading lists become accessible for students (left side menu) once they have completed registration.
Deadlines
15-May: Reading lists for the autumn semester
01-November: Readinglists for the spring semester
Information for Course Coordinators
Past reading lists can be reused. Copies of reading lists from the most recent semester will be ready for editing directly in Leganto (login at the top of the page), well before the submission deadline. When new subjects are ready in Canvas, you can also edit the reading list there.
When you done with editing, click “Library Review.” The list will then be sent to the library for finalising. This must be done by the deadline (15-May/01-Nov).
Reading lists for new subjects have to be made “from scratch.”
Guidelines for reading lists can be found here
BOLK: All book excerpts that are copied and used as reading list material for a subject must be cleared in BOLK (cf. Kopinor agreement). More information

The Library
Library staff quality control and publish the reading lists. Once this is done, the reading lists will become available both in Canvas and on the Volda University College website. Longer processing times should be expected when reading lists are submitted close to the due date, due to the high volume of reading lists sent in at this time.
