Beyond Constructionism
Friday was the final day of “Beyond Constructionism”, a symposium that brought together a diverse group of international scholars and researchers in language and embodiment studies. “Part of what made it so exciting,” says project leader Stephen Dougherty, “was the fact that people were talking to one another productively across so many disciplines: linguistics, cognitive science, psychology, philosophy, literary studies, and cultural theory.

It was a remarkable experience, and Volda made a very fine setting for it." Dougherty also says that the group is looking forward to working together on research projects in the future. "We made a very promising start last week."
