Semesters
MPRO103 Advanced Media Practices
The student must have completed 60 credits of media production courses before enrollment.
The course is only open to students taking MID202 in the same semester.
In this course you take pre-developed projects (from MID118) and produce them to completion in production teams. Whether they are web series, documentary, social short form content, corporates or animations, we produce them professionally in teams and roles. External commissions from clients will be considered. MPRO103 operates as internal practice like a production company for the whole semester. Therefore you will likely operate in different roles on different productions and in a highly professional context, as if performing a job. All productions will adhere to the production processes of the MPRO Production Company with the teachers as the Executive Producers and giving relevant guidance on the projects as they progress. There will be a common workspace production office and location shooting.
This is an exciting course full of real world experiences where you put theory into practice as well as learning through the challenges of producing media work in a professional context.
