  • Samsaya to Volda and International Day

    Norwegian-Indian pop singer Samsaya is coming to Volda for International Day, February 15th. During the annual event, she will give a mini concert on stage in Berte Kanutte. Samsaya was born in India, raised in Norway and has had broad international experience. Her new single “Breaking Bad” will be released today, February 3rd.

  • Buddy week in Volda

    From the 9th to the 15th of January 2012, STiV (student parliament), in collaboration with Pangaia and the International Office, organized a welcoming week for 39 new Erasmus student. The idea behind the entire event was to offer the new students a warm welcome and a good first impression of their new study place.

    The article entitled ''Volda is the place you will never forget'' is now accessible in Polish. A group of students from Poland, from our partner university Krosno State College, have worked on it as part of their translation course and found it a challenging, but satisfying way of testing their translation skills.     “I really recommend this course,” says a happy Olga Ryparova. The course, Religion in Norway, was offered this autumn to Erasmus and Norwegian students. One of the things that made the class so interesting, explains Ryparova, was the fact that the students enrolled in the class came from so many different backgrounds.

  • Internationally known professor to hold lecture

    During the month of October, Professor William J. Brown is a visiting lecturer at Volda University College. Professor Brown visits Volda College as a Fulbright Specialist and has given lectures at many universities around the world. This Wednesday, he will present on the topic “Entertainment Media for Social Change”.
