Media and Journalism

About 500 students complete the various and very popular study programs at the department of media studies. Much practice, both internal and external, goes hand in hand with more theoretical subject matter. Volda University is known for its close relationship with the media industry, both in Norway and abroad.

The Faculty of Media and Journalism is divided into three departments: Journalism, Communication and Film & Animation. All departments are responsible for the inter-disciplinary Master in Media Practices. In addition, digital competencies in education is one of the key areas of research and development.
