Volda University College (VUC) are happy to offer 10 refugees an extra spot in our Norwegian course. These positions are available due to extra funding as a consequence of the war in Ukraine.

More than 110 students from several European countries participated in ITS Volda 2022 where this years’ theme was “Physically active learning and outdoor education”

Are you a responsible, proactive, and social person, interested in internationalisation, other cultures, languages and backgrounds? Then you might just be the right person for us! The International Office is happy to announce that we are looking for two trainees in Pangaia. The positions are available from 1st August 2022 until 30th June 2023, the entire duration of the academic year 2022/2023.

If you are a student and have taken or want to take photos of conflict, protest and reconciliation, you have the opportunity to show the photo (s) in a photo exhibition during a media conference in Kiel. There is a nice prize money for the three best student contributions that are submitted.

Thursday 31 March marked the return of the X2 Festival in Volda and during the weekend there will be a full program of extreme sport competitions, talks, concerts and other activities. Find out more about the programme!

Helga Synnevåg Løvoll's research has been noticed and appreciated both in Norway and abroad. The newly promoted professor insists that outdoor life is so much more than extreme off-piste skiing, downhill biking and rock climbing – if one only takes the time to experience nature.

Animation Volda won the Internationalization prize for 2022 and it was a surprised and delighted festival board who received the award from the international officer at the Student Parliament, Fady Gemayel.

VEKA is a festival with long traditions in Norway. It's arranged on almost every higher education institution and has it roots from Trondheim in early 20th century. VEKA in Volda was unfolded in 1985 and has been arranged annually ever since. Come and join the fun!
